Sudesh Berry is an Indian television and film actor who gained popularity with the movie Khatron Ke Khiladi, and then added to his fame with movies like Yudhpath, Border, Refugee, LOC Kargil, and Tango Charlie. In the television industry, he received acclaim for portraying the role of King Drupada in the series Mahabharat (2013) that aired on Star plus.

Sudesh was born in 1960 and is a resident of Mumbai.
Personal life
Sudesh got married to Sarita and the couple have a son named Suraj Berry.
Movie career
Sudesh stepped his foot into the film and television industry in 1988, with his debut movie Khatron Ke Khiladi in a supporting role, which starred Dharmendra, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in the lead. Two years later, he was seen in Ghayal as Rajan Berry, a superhit award-winning movie that starred Sunny Deol and Meenakshi Seshadri. After appearing in movies like Yudhpath, Kayda Kanoon, Veergati and Policewala Gunda, the actor featured in a significant role as an Indian Secret Service Agent in the Sunny Deol-Tabu-Shilpa Shetty starrer Himmat in 1996. His next release was one of the most popular movies of all times, Border in 1997, alongside an emsemble cast including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Puneet Issar. This award-winning war drama, directed by J. P. Dutta, was an adaption from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan, and saw Sudesh in the role of Naib Subedar Mathura Das, gaining him praises for his performance.
Three years later, he appeared in Woh Bewafa Thi, and then was part of an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty and Anupam Kher in Refugee, which performed moderately at the box office but was one of the highest grossing films of the year, and won a handful of awards. His next notable performance was seen in the role of Gul Mastan in Maa Tujhhe Salaam in 2002, a story of a Major and his team who are assigned duty at the India-Pakistan border to defeat the terrorists. In the very next year, he appeared in another popular film LOC Kargil as COL. Lalit Rai. This followed with starring in movies like Border Hindustaan Ka in 2003, Wajahh in 2004, Wafaa in 2008 and Admissions Open in 2010.
The next significant role for the actor was in the Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu as CEO Chitranjan, which starred Bharath, Chandini Sreedharan and Erica Fernandes in leading roles, and received positive reviews from critics. He then performed a supporting role as a father in the 2016 romance film Sanam Teri Kasam starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, which turned out to be an average grosser. His 2017 release includes Amit Prasher`s Sardar Saab, co-starring Jackie Shroff, Guggu Gill, and Neetu Singh.
Television career
Sudesh`s debut television role of Vichitravirya in the Star Plus serial Mahabharat got television audiences to like him. He featured in the serial for long, and not only the series but also his performance gained critics and audience appreciation. His next television venture was Kashish in 1994 in the lead role as a director, alongside Malvika Tiwari who played an actress in the series,with the serial revolving around how their indifference grows into love. This followed with Andaz and Jaan, and then Suraag - The Clue in 1999 as Inspector Bharat from CID. In 2002, he featured in the role of CID Officer Vidhaan in the CID Officer. After playing Prof. Chatterjee in the Sony TV thriller television show Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, he appeared in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in the role of Loha Singh, for which he won the Khatarnak Character Male (Fiction) at BIG Television Awards 2011. His performance also won him the Best Actor In A Negative Role (Male) at 2009 ITA Awards.
Sudesh then featured in the drama series Kamini Damini, that aired on Sahara One, and was based on the Bollywood movie Seeta Aur Geeta. The 2013 mythological drama series Mahabharat on STAR Plus starred Sudesh in the role of Drupad. This series, which got high viewership, made him really popular, and gained him appreciation for his performance. He followed this up by starring in the daily soap opera Begusarai as Manohar Thakur, and Siya Ke Ram in the role of Parashurama. His 2016 television appearance came with Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki as Harak Singh, which saw him in a recurring role. His 2019 release includes Khichik.
