3 Idiots movie turned out to be one of the biggest hits at the India box office. The subject of the film appealed to the audience on a large scale and it bagged many records in its lifetime. Aamir Khan's film opened excellently and earned a big amount in the first week. Also, it showed its dominance in the second as well as the third week. The drop in the week 2 was only 30% and the film earned over ₹50 crores in the second week which took its box office earning over Rs. 100 crores. 3 Idiots not only earned an excellent amount of money in the domestic market but also it collected strongly in the overseas. It was the first Indian film to enter ₹200 crores club and also became the highest India grosser in the overseas market.
