Within the first day of its release, it went on to become the highest opening day grosser for a Hindi film.[6] The film set another box office record, netting ₹103 crore in its first week, thus becoming the highest opening week grossing Bollywood film until then. The film became a major commercial success with a worldwide gross of ₹234 crore.
