    Terrible! Not the novel, but the situation the characters find themselves in. The novel is, as one of its lines says, "wonderful is not right; better would be exemplary." It cuts deep! It unsettled. I pity the misery and foolishness of the characters. Frankly speaking, when I started reading it, it felt hyped, but after a few chapters, it sucked me in completely. This is one of the most bluntly honest novels I have come across to this date. The cleverly articulated prose and the cruel honesty with which things and emotions are rationalized are just brilliant!
