It received positive reviews from critics, with praise for Sharma and Khan’s performances, visuals, background score, action sequences and direction. Grossing ₹58 crore (US$7.6 million) worldwide against a budget of ₹48 crore (US$6.3 million), the film was a box-office flop, and went on to become the third highest grossing Bollywood film of 2021.
